Rings & Things Blog Partners Design Challenge

Do you remember awhile ago I posted about the Design Challenge at Rings & Things?  While I was one of the lucky winners and waiting just under the wire I finally finished my design, I was still running around today finding a few things to add.  I love the beads that Dave sent me but I wanted to experiment a little so I decided to get some of Tim Holtz, alcohol inks to color the beads, but I also wanted to use some of the raw color as well.  Using purple just seemed to fit with what I was planning.  I have included a few pictures of my experiment as well as my final design, I really hope you like it.

The lovely pendant is from Artisan Clay, I actually received this as a special gift from Kristie Roeder for being her 700th Esty purchase.  This arrived yesterday and changed my design plans, I just couldn't resist using it.  Check out Kristie's blog today she is having her design team reveal.

Take care,
Penny

Eye Candy

My mom and I had a open house on Sunday and I was trying to get some designs together to represent Spring, these pieces I still have on hand and will be listing them on Esty later today.  Look for a big sale at Copper Penny Designs on Esty too, I am trying to drum up some business.

For Angela

My Son asked if I could make a necklace for a friend of his who has moved to Ontario but was coming for a visit back to Alberta.  This necklace is for a 20 something young woman and I don't know if I am in touch enough to know what a 20 something would think was nice.  We chose a adorable charm from Martha Eason of Menagerie Studio, these charms have become some of my favorites and everyone who has one loves them.  They are so unique and full of character.
